Ok, so the carburated
20 lbs. boost thing DIDNT work! Now, I can rightfully tell you DO NOT believe
anybody that tells you they can make high pressure blow thru supercharging
work with a carb. Now, what was I to do,I'm not independantly wealthy,
and I am not about to run from the supercharger, so follow along as I "roll
my own" EFI.
When its all done,
Ill add links to the suppliers I used, as well as any tidbits I gain on
the way.
Finally, I got to the track, and I have to say, the EFI ROCKS!
But the 12 rib drive ATI supplies now becomes a problem. Datalogging a pass showed 10 Lbs boost at 4300 RPM, but by the time it hit 5300, boost
had dropped to around 4 Lbs. Even with that, the first pass was a 10.62 at 121 MPH. Subsequent passes kept slowing, and belt debris was everywhere.
So close, damn you ATI! SO.....the trooper that I am, I decided to make a Cog belt drive. Im in the process right now, Ill post pics when they are done!
