Chapter 21 - Sneaky, sneaky...

Zac fled from the house, out into the backyard, and up into the treehouse. Taylor and I were at his heels. I began to go up, but Taylor grabbed my elbow and said, "No, I'll go, it's a guy thing. He shouldn't have had to see that." Taylor went up, so I slid down the the ground, leaning against the tree.

After about five minutes Tay came out with Zac. Tay pulled me up from where I was sitting and embraced me. "Is it okay?" I asked, eyeing Zac.

Taylor pulled away, looked at Zac, and said, "Yeah, it's okay, it's no big deal, really. Zac's okay with it."

Zac turned to both of us and smiled. "I was a little shocked, that's all," Zac then grinned, winked at Taylor, nudged him in the side, and whispering loud enough for me to hear said, "Good going Tay, you naughty boy!"

Taylor turned bright red and I burst out laughing. "Yeah, yeah," Tay said, "we all know how funny Animal is," and he playfully punched Zac. The three of us went inside.

Zac thought up the idea that we prank call some people. I dialed a random number and handed Zac the phone. Then Tay and I each went to a seperate room and picked up an extension. A girl picked up on the fourth ring. She sounded like she was chewing gum.

"Yeah?" she said impatiently. "Do you like Hanson?" Zac asked.

"Oh my gosh, I love them! Tay is soooooooo fine!" I heard muffled laughter on the phone, which was obviously Taylor. I wondered why he didn't just press the mute button like I was.

"What was that?" the girl asked suspiciously.

"Nothing...anyway...do you know who this is?" Zac asked.

"Of course I don't know who this is, how could I? I'm not psychic!" the girl responded rudely.

"Well babe...this is your lucky day, because you are speaking to the one and only ZAC HANSON!!" The apparently incredibly gullible girl squealed with delight.

"Aaaaaah! I can't believe this!! Really?!" she asked excitedly. "No! You're so stupid, bye." I pictured Zac grinning into the phone in the kitchen as I heard a click, then the dial tone.

The three of us switched off, each doing a prank call while the others listened. Then Tay and I met Zac back in the kitchen. "Damn," Taylor exclaimed, "that first call when that girl picked up ... remember? She was such an idiot. I wonder what she'd say if she found out it really was you!"

We all broke down laughing. "I just wanted to see if she'd believe me," Zac said between laughs, "and she did!"

Suddenly the phone ran. "Hello?" Zac said.

"You have some nerve," said a familiar voice. "You're lucky I don't call the cops you little asshole! And if you call me again pretending to be MY Zac Hanson, or if you ever prank call me again anyway, I'll personally find out where you live and kick your ass in!" Then the girl hung up. I had been listening on an extension.

"Who was that?" Tay asked.

"Well," I said, "unfortunately we forgot about the brilliant invention of a little thing called Caller ID."

"Oh...who cares, we were just having fun," Tay told me.

"Yeah," said Zac, then he added, "boy was she mad! And if she even comes near my ass I'll send Zoe and the Poop Patrol after her."

Taylor have him a funny look.

"She said she'd whip his ass," I explained.

"Oh," was all Tay responded with.

"I don't know about you, but I'm STARVING!" Zac yelled, running to the door, who's up for pizza? 'Cause I am!"

Zac grabbed his coat and ran back to the door when Taylor stopped him. "You know Zac, there's such a thing as delivery."

Zac's eyes lit up, he pulled his coat off, and pounced to the couch. "Good!" he said, "now I can sit on my butt and play video games. Tay, I order you to order pizza--NOW!"

"Yes, master Zac," Taylor said, smiling, taking my hand, and we walked back to the kitchen.

He ordered the pizza, hung up, and we went up to his room. "Tay...Zac's home, we can't do anything...you know..." I said, when Taylor pulled me next to him. He ran kisses up my neck, but when I pulled away, he looked at me innocently with big blue eyes. I melted.

"Let's not get started Tay..." I began, but was interrupted with,

"Please Alex, Zac is so wrapped up in those video games that he won't even get up until he smells pizza," Tay argued.

"I guess a few kisses couldn't hurt," I decided. But when our lips met it was hardly just a few kisses. I opened my mouth slightly, letting Taylor's tongue mingle with mine. Somehow, he got me to lie down on the bed, and I felt his hand slip up my shirt.

As his hand roamed under my bra, I breathed in his ear, "Sneaky, sneaky..." Taylor looked at me with a sly grin. Then we heard footsteps pounding up the stairs.

"Oh no...not again," Tay groaned. We both sprang up right when Zac walked in. Apparently not noticing what we had been doing, Zac just charged in, grabbed a video game that he had forgotten, and left.

I silently breathed a sigh of relief.

So did Taylor.
