New Nightmare 2 Scene 6 At Candy's house, Josh is sitting on the side of Candy's bed, holding her hand as she is beginning to drift off to sleep. He wipes away the tears from her puffy cheeks, and then he stands to leave the room. As soon as he closes the door behind him on his way out, she begins to twitch as she enters her Nightmare. CUT The Classroom: David is doodling on his paper, taking down occasional notes when he looks over at Tina. He sees her with her head propped up on her arm. She dozes off. CUT She is on a stage, in the wings, swaying bach and forth, nervous about going out there, but preparing herself to be in the play. She is wearing a night gown, silky, but not erotic, or see through. She is vulnerable, but not meant to arrouse. On stage the lights go out, and a spot light forms in the center. Out there on stage she begins to speak.Tina Where is he? Where is he. Where is my man of the night. CUT Candy is moving through the boiler room. There is a burst of steam, right at her. She jumps pack as though she just touched something dirty, and then looks to her arm as it reddens from the heat. She looks back at the pipe, and starts to look around, crining in pain from the burn. She begins to feel that she might be in danger. Freddy's voice starts to echoe of the pipes, and the large boiler room.Freddy-voiceover I'm coming...for you CUT-TRANSITION BY SOUND We cut back to Tina, with the voice still echoing. Tina smiles, and cocks her head to the opposite side of the stage. She takes a few large, theatrical steps forward.Tina Oh, my man of night. Come take me away to your moonlit palace. CUT Candy is now running, looking back as she rounds a corner. Freddy stands there, laughing his evil laugh as he raises his claw, and prepares to slice at her. She jumps away and his claws come away with just a little skin. Candy looks down at herself, at the little bit of blood that is starting to trickle onto her white shirt. She turns and is again running. CUT Candy's bedroom as she is thrashing around in her bed. Josh comes back into the room, and sees her there. He sees her bleeding from her stomach. He turns pale at the sight, and climbs on the bed to try and hold her from what he thinks is her convulsing. CUT Candy is running, and sees on the steel planks that make up the boiler room. Up ahead of her, she sees a set of metal stairs with a white door at the top. She starts to run up the stairs, sliding on one of them and slicing her knee in the fall. She doesn't even look down as blood starts to soak through her jeans. She continues up the steps, and opens the door. There is a blinding light, and she can't see into the room so she stands there, hesitating.Tina Oh Man of Night, why have you not come? Candy hears Tina's voice coming from the light, and Candy rushes to go and find it, but as soon as crosses the threshold into the room of light, everything goes dark.
