Roadside Assistance Scene 41-45 Revised 2/11/00 51 Int. Adam's Apartment, simultaneous Adam If you were to knock right now. 52. Int. Outside Adam's Aparment, simultaneous Adam's voice can be heard through the door as the hand hammers down loudly. Adam I would smother you in... 53. Int. Adam's Apartment, near dawn. Red light is seeping in through the blinds. Extreme Close up of Adam's eye as he suddenly wide awakens. Close up his face as he looks terrorfied and in a cold sweat. He sits up, and runs his hands through his hair. Then he swings his legs off the bed, and leans forward, settling his head on his hands. He should have the appearence as though he is recovering from a hangover. End of Scene 53 54. Ext. Car wash, early morning, shortly after dawn. Extreme Close up of a red flashing light from a squad car. Officer 1 is kneeling down next to his dead partner. He rises slowly, and in the background there are two officers in blue, standing by a squad car with the lights flashing. Officer 1 turns around and starts to walk to the two men in blue. He walks up to them. Officer 1 Any leads? Officer 3 There was a couple who was also attacked. One survivor. He can identify a black dodge truck. wierd design. older truck. A dent on the passenger side. Officer 1 License plates? Officer 3 Where running it now. It should be coming back soon. Officer 1 starts to head around to the driver side door of his car that is parked in between the sqaud car, and Officer 2's car. Officer 1 I want to be there when you arrest this guy. He starts to get into his car. END OF SCENE 54 55. Int. Adam's Apartment, Near 11 a.m He is close to his monitor, as the roar of a racing game sounds. The televsion is playing in the background, but he is not paying attention to it. After a few seconds there is a knock at the door. Adam looks up from his game, pausing it. He stands, and walks to the door, the camera following him to the door. Through the peep hole, iris shot, he sees the a man that is slightly familar to him. Officer 1 stands there. Officer 1 nears the door again to knock. Behind Adam off camera, The music comes on all of a sudden, playing the killer theme. Adam turns around, easing his way back into the apartment. Adam's Pov as he looks around. The music seems to be starting to get louder, and so does the knocking. Adam hurries over, and turns off the music. He opens the door to see Officer 1 there in the doorway, behind him stands The two men in blue. Officer 1 quickly forces his way into the room, pinning Adam against the wall. Officer 1 You are underarrest, you have the right to remain silent. You have... Officer 1 continues to read Adam the rights after he has him handcupped, and is walking him to the elevator. Close up of the Stereo. The Dark One is bending down and pressing play on the tape deck. The song starts to play. Then Dark One reaches for the volume, and turns it up loud. Then the Dark One stands and goes over to the balcony, and looks out. END OF SCENE 55
