Roadside Assistance Scene 41-45 Revised 2/11/00 41. Ext. Car Wash, Near Three in the Morning. The Truck slowly pulls into the lot for the car wash The lighs shine into the dark corner onto the officer's face, waking him up, grudginly. The lights pull away from his face as he starts to rub his neck from the sore sleep. He sees the truck, and starts to reach for the door. The Truck stops infront of the pay meter The Officer comes up behind the truck, his gun is drawn. He is moving around to the side of the truck, the lights from the taillights, bathing him in a red glow. Officer 2 Get out of the truck! There is a moment of pause as the officer stands there, afraid to get to close to the drivers side door, as the situation all seems to strange. He tries, however to peak around to see who is in the drivers seat. Officer 2 This is the police, and I am ordering you out of the truck! The Truck is thrown into reverse past the officer who was standing off to the side. Then the truck is placed into first. The tires squeal as the truck propells forward. Offcer 2 tries to fire off a shot. The truck stops. Close up money slot as The Dark One's dirty hands put money into the slot. The Truck pulls into the wash. The Dark One, bathed in blood, gets out, and hurries into the bed of the truck. The shower of the car wash, cleans the truck. END OF SCENE 41 42. Ext. School playground, Late day around four O' clock. DREAM SEQUENCE-OVEREXPOSED A white overexposed dream like quality. Bully Ohh, hoohoo. Now whatcha going to do? A bully of about ten is pushing around a scrawny eight year old. Pushing him up against a wall, and then pushing the little kid down. Bully Go Ahead! Cry! The bully starts to kick the kid. The little kid then starts to back away quickly, until he makes it to a corner in a fence. The bully walks up and towers over the little boy. He is backlighted, making only an outline appear above. A hand reaches out to tap the bully on the shoulder. The bully wheels around. The bully is thrown against the fence, and falls to the ground, in the background is the whimpering little boy. The bully is then kicked, and kicked until finally he stops crying. He just lies there silent. The unseen helper then stands over the little boy. The unseen one starts to carress the little boys face. Close up of the little boys face as the unseen one bends over, and starts to lick the little boy. Slowly the unseen on fades away. Full shot as the little one whimpers there with the bully just a little up the fence. The little kid falls, and starts to cry. END OF SCENE 42 43. Int. Adam's Apartment, near three in the morning. Adam wakes up suddenly, breathing heavy, and rises out of bed. He turns to look around the room. Adam's Pov as the blue light from the moon lights a little of the room. Adam Anyone there? He starts to stand, and turn on his light. He looks back to his bed. Adam's Pov as he sees himself lying there in bed. He looks down at his hands trying to see if he is really there, and sees the grease all covering his hands. He starts to run quickly to his bathroom. The light flicks on. He looks into the mirror his normal self. He looks down at his hands, and starts to inspect himself, and then back at the mirror. He turns the light off. END OF SCENE 43 44. Ext. Ext. Outside Adam's apartment, minutes later. The truck pulls into the parking lot. He comes to a stop in a parking spot. A shot from behind the truck as the engine stops. The Dark One behind the wheel, dissolves away from behind the wheel of the truck. FADE TO BLACK END OF SCENE 44. 45. Ext. Car wash, early morning, shortly after dawn. Extreme Close up of a red flashing light from a squad car. Officer 1 is kneeling down next to his dead partner. He rises slowly, and in the background there are two officers in blue, standing by a squad car with the lights flashing. Officer 1 turns around and starts to walk to the two men in blue. He walks up to them. Officer 1 Any leads? Officer 3 There was a couple who was also attacked. One survivor. He can identify a black dodge truck. wierd design. older truck. A dent on the passenger side. Officer 1 License plates? Officer 3 Where running it now. It should be coming back soon. Officer 1 starts to head around to the driver side door of his car that is parked in between the sqaud car, and Officer 2's car. Officer 1 I want to be there when you arrest this guy. He starts to get into his car. END OF SCENE 45
