My First Sleep

"I am your Master!"  

She had a menacing smile and an insane look in her eyes as she looked deeply 
into mine.  But she didn't look at me as though she cared.  It was a cold
stare of power.  She wanted control, to eye me down.

I returned her gaze, and I refused to look away so that we continued to stare.
It wasn't until a faint light began to crease the eastern horizen that she 
looked away.  Then in a nothing of darkness, she was gone.

She was so fast.

I too had to flee.  My first thought was to hide in the basement, but cops would
be swarming the house.  So I thought  of the garden.  I could bury myself 
quickly and no one could tell.  Then the next night I could find a more 
permanent home.

I made my way around to the back of my former home and I could hear my baby
sister crying inside.  Maybe I should have taken her life that twenty year ago 
day, but she was to young to hurt me.  She had been to young and innocent.

I made my way to the garden, and found a message written in the dirt.

"I'll find you."

I know it was from ariel.

I hurried to my temporary grave.
