Oh yeah..I no longer belong to this club..this is up for memory purposes only. Enjoy.
Hort Club Minutes
12-10-98: Today we made ribbon rose for the fundraiser. It's going
well, we've taken in over $200. The 17th we will begin distributing the rose
grams.
12-3-98: Today we hung posters for the Dec. fundraiser. No one won the Music
Store gift certificate. Instead we will raffle it off on Dec 17.
11-19-98: Today we made ribbon rose for the Dec fundraiser. Who ever makes the
most ribbon roses at home will win a $10 gift certificate to a Music Store (
Best Buy, Sam Goody etc)
11-12: Today we thinned the radishes and worked on making ribbon roses. Next
week will be fundraisers (?)
11-5-98: Today we worked in the greenhouse. The geraniums were transplanted,
and we planted lots of seeds. A growth log of the seed will be following (see
below). Hopefully we will get to work on fundraisers next week.
10-28-Today was not a big meeting. We really didn't do anything, except some
people made ribbon roses for fundraisers. Also some people made made
Halloween spider mums. The club also has a new mascot...a blue beta fish.
His name is Sushi Bob, related to the Sushi Joe at my house. Next week we
will be talking all about fundraisers. Some of us will also work on
geraniums.
10/22-We had a going away party for Alexis. We also talked about the webpage
some. Mr. Theimer also talked about the future landscpaing project. Some
people also may go to a VICA conference this fall. The people that sign up
are Erin, Krissy, Emily, Kate and Anna. If you would also like to go please
contact Mr. Theimer. Picture are on Tuesday Oct 27 at 4:30 pm. Please be
there!
Seed Growth Log
11-10 Lots of plants have already germinated. 28 of the 29 pots of radishes
showed some growth. They look extremely healthy. And, the wildflowers,
acroclinium and cosmos had some very small sprouts.
11-12 The tomatos and swiss chard had some small sprouts today.
The radishes were also thinned so they would have more room to take root in.
11-16 The basil, painted daisy, and lobelia have sprouted.
11-18 The watermelons have come up.

12-3 the seeds are doing fine.
