I had a lot of trouble deciding including Fishman, he was born here, in Torreon, but he was raised in Cd 
Juarez, Chihuahua, still, if he is know as 'Latigo Lagunero' (Lagunero Whip), he is Lagunero.

Fishman started wrestling in Cd Juarez in 1972, and soon went to Mexico City in pursuit of success, 
and he got it big time. Several championship belts and above all, the mask of Sangre Chicana, probably 
the top draw in Mexico's lucha, second only to El Santo. He was a friend and 'compadre' of Perro 
Aguayo, but soon they started feuding, in one of the top rivalities in the history of the sport. Perro and 
Fishman have traveled all around Mexico (and even to Japan) spilling gallons of blood wherever they 
fight(ed).

Fishman was a good mat worker, and he even had high flying abilities, but now he is one of the oldest 
luchador in active, and depends more in his brawling skills than anything (much too like Sangre and 
Perro), he was one of the great stars, who didn't know when to retire.

In Fishman's behalf, I should say that most luchadores wrestle beyond their forties because in the lucha 
medium, it is not easy to make good money, Fishman has one of the most valued masks, and since 
the 'lucha-boom' from 1988, the older workers are making more money. Fishman might be retiring in 
1999.
