Fuerza Guerrera's debut was in 1978, if the Box y Lucha bio's dates are correct, then it would mean he started his career at the relatively late age of 25 years, but from there, Fuerza went on to be one of the greatest rudos in Mexico, constantly underpushed, but always near the top.

Fuerza Guerrera's best moments in EMLL where in the early 90's, when he started feuding Octagon, on December 14, 1990 both of them were in a triangle masks match with 'Huracan Ramirez jr', the match had two tecnicos against the rudo Fuerza... but to the surprise of all the fans, Guerrera easily disposed of both tecnicos and saved his mask!!! Octagon and Ramirez had to fight each other for the masks. The mask itself is credited to Octagon, but I think Fuerza deserves some credit.

Anyway, The big winner in that night was the rudo, as the tecnicos ended up being booed from their poor work... Fuerza went to establish himself as one of the top Rudos in Mexico. The next year, his feud with Octagon continued, but it took second place to the fued he had with 'Gallo Tapado', it was somehow similar to the Bob Backlund-Hart feud, in which Tapado was an old luchador who returned to teach Fueza some manners... but ended losing his mask instead!!!

In 1993 AAA was born, and most of the EMLL stars jumped there, including Octagon and Fuerza Guerrera, who kept the feud there, in a late night show conducted by soap opera actress Veronica Castro, she pushed them into setting a date for their masks match, apparently they agreed to have it on the first AAA-mania, just like Cien Caras - Konnan and Perro Aguayo - Masacara Aņo 2000 agreed in that show to have their AAAmania I matches. However, the match never happened...Probably because Octagon is one of AAA's stronger gimmicks and Fuerza had a good amount of influence, when AAA was formed, their workers founded another luchador union (opposed to the EMLL's "sindicato unico de luchadores") and Fuerza was its leader.

The rivality somewhat stalled and lose some heat, still both of them remained as big stars.

Later Fuerza would leave to form Promell with Blue Panther, which later would become PromoAzteca. Despite having some great workers and huge name stars, PA did not last for long, and Fuerza returned to EMLL, most of the loyal EMLL workers are not happy with him returning, as he was the head of the 'renegade' luchador movement and kind of 'founded' PromoAzteca.

Still, Fuerza Guerrera has been one of the most influential(along with Jerry Estrada) rudos in the way he acts, takes bumps and the classic 'it breaks my hart that I'm your best buddy in the life and you won't even shake my hand...' tricks.
