Oral
Presentation of Myth
Key Points:
1. Choose a myth that has
not been used as a "core myth" or as one of your comparison and contrast
myths.
2. Paraphrase the myth so
that the story remains the same but the words are yours.

Choose appropriate music to
accompany your oral myth.

Create some type of visual
representation of the myth/ or a prop used while telling the myth.

Use some type of costume prop:
hat, cape, toga, etc...[see the teacher if there are any questions]

Practice reciting your myth
in the mirror or in front of an audience. [The minimum length should be
no shorter than 1 1/2 minute and no longer than 4 minutes]

Students will receive appropriate
credit for creativity and preparation.

Students should be able to
hand in a paraphrased version of the myth they choose to present to the
class.
