Teachers Only

I thought that I'd give anyone that is interested some information about

this web page.

I'd like to start by stating that it was created because of a class I took as part of my Type 75 Master's Degree Program at Northeastern Illinois University. It is part of the curriculum's course requirements.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the lesson are as follows:

1) The student will be able to graph points.

2) The student will be able to graph lines.

3) The student will be able to identify equations of lines.

4) The student will understand the concept of slope.

5) The student will understand the concept of parallel and perpendicular lines.

6) The students will interact with websites that are on the internet.

7) To understand why the lessons are important to higher level mathematics.

ILLINOIS LEARNING STANDARDS

This five unit lesson addresses the following Illinois Learning Standards: 8.B.3, 8.C.4a, 8.A.4b.

Some of the links that access the math programs under the student section were found by searching Lycos. My instructor for the class also has some awesome sites that can be accessed easily from the addresses below.

There are many more awesome sites that I could not use because of the topic I chose to construct this project for.

This site was fairly easy to construct under the angelfire system.

Once you get past some obstacles, you'll be well on your way. The link

system is awesome to present material to an audience.
