were compiled from the known information available to this writer.
Without a doubt, it is incomplete, and will continue to be updated as each
piece of the puzzle is put together. Anyone with additonal information
is invited to contact me.
It is evident that
the majority of the descendants of James and Johann were living in the
North at the time of the war, due to the fact that 85% of the soldiers
who served fought for the Union, with the exception of the Veitch
line, of which, only 45% served in the Union army. The numbers indicate
that for every one (1) Confederate soldier, five (5) descendants of the
men above joined the Union army.
