Inflict, who were all under 21, still got to play at this show. It was the debut of 1/2 of their freakshow that we will see at The Halloween Concert. The band put on a kick ass set and then had to leave. The Ranger thanked the law for having such a shitty system with the drinking age.
Soulfood, who was up next, did their set and it was a cool set. Unfournately the sound guy couldn't get it together for them. They use a unique blend of different kind of styles of music.
Downfind came all the way up here from Zion to perform at the show and were a very intense band. Sound problems still occured, yet they managed to kick some ass as well.
Special thanks to Scott Davidson for booking the show with the Strictline, and to all the bands and the people who came out. A special thanks to Bulkhead for showing up as well.
WHEN CAN WE DO THIS SHOW?
Once again the Day the Sanity Died was canceled. This is due to a person who once again mailed in the flyer of the show to city hall. We here at the Strictline would like to tell this person
to go get laid and get a life rather than ruin everyone elses because he does not have one. The Chamber of Commerce of Dekalb, teahcers of NIU, and many religious organizations put the pressure on the Elks Hall of Dekalb
to stop the show, and this time it worked.
MORE BAD NEWS
Due to the controversial subject matters and bad language used on the Strictline on WHCM, the show has been pulled once again. We have no idea whether or not the show will be back and if this will be the beginning of
SFR vs. WHCM part II but we will keep you informed.
EVEN WORSE NEWS
SRTV: THE STATIC EXPERIENCE is also experiencing difficulties. The producer of the show (Michael J. Casaccio) is being banned from the studio. This is due to going over 1/2 an hour on the taping of Clash 4 Hash. The show will still air, but there is a new gameplan underway to put the show on the
air legally within the bounds of the six month suspension.
A VERY HECTIC OCTOBER
As many know the next two shows MISSION:IMFILLADABOWL and THE HALLOWEEN CONCERT are coming very close. Mission takes place at Tales Rock Bar at 702 N River Rd in Mt Prospect. Concert takes place on October 27 at the Villa Park VFW on
39 E St Charles Rd in Villa Park. Following that the first week of November PSYCHO-DELIC comes to Reilys Rock House in Aurora on November 5. So far Discord, Godsize, and Inflict are confirmed to play.
MORE CFIII COMMITTMENTS
As you know CHRONICFEST III is on it's way to court, where the Stoned Ranger will be holding session with NINE bands. So far Inflict, Vis@40, Godsize are the ones for sure. We just got comittmens from two other bands
Ditchwater (Halloween Concert), and Bulkhead (Freakshow, GT2K) will also be there. This leaves room for three other bands because the CLASH 4 HASH winner opens the show.
THE CLASH WAS AWESOME, BUT NOW ALL F'ED UP
The Clash 4 Hash saw the talents of eight bands perform and the episode was to air Sept 28, but did not because of the punishment bestowed upon the Strictline by AT&T. What's more, it seems that the voting
has not been legitimate so that is under investigation right now. The episode will most likely webcast and we will continue the clash as time goes on. Keep it locked on the Clash 4 Hash Page for more info.
For The Halloween Concert, the band G Lethal 9 has been added. They are from Michigan so when you go to the show, make sure you make a lot of noise and give them a good old Chicago welcome.
THAT IS ALL FOR THIS MONTH
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
