NEWS FOR MARCH 2002

SRTV UPDATE
SRTV has been working really hard to expand into different areas. The hard work has finally paid off, as SRTV will make its debut in many parts of northwest Indiana this week. Also, the show takes on a full time slot in Chicago Fridays at 12:30am. SRTV is talking with the IURP in Los Angeles about airtime in the city of angels. Also, SRTV’s friends at Jstreetzine.com have talked about a deal that can bring SRTV to most of Lake County, IL. The revolution is being televised.

NEW STRICTLINE SHOWS
Two new shows are on their way. One being Regional Music Underground being produced by Bill Hayden of Possum Records based out of Cedar Lake, I N. This show features unsigned bands from the Midwest and claymation. The show airs on channels 19 and 35 in the NW suburbs of Chicago. Kahoneez, produced by new SRTV director Andrew Linck, is a crazy variety show with all sorts of skits and other pranks as well.

GANJATIME 2002 GOING TO METRO????
Strictline Entertainment is negotiating a date with one the biggest and most recognizable venues in Chicago, the Metro. As many Chicagoians know, this is the place where many Chicago bands like Smashing Pumpkins got their start. The Metro has hosted some of the best national and local talent around. Dates are being thrown around at this point but slated to play are Slytherin, Red River, Rebels Without Applause, and many more.

TALES FROM THE STRICTLINE: AUDIO VERSION
The Stoned Ranger is working on a new audio package, but it will be on CD. The project is titled “Tales From the Strictline: The Album.” The CD features 12 tales being read by the Ranger himself as well as tracks from bands Infrared, Neotribe, Vis@40, and Committed. The CD is being produced by Charlie Anderson, and being engineered by Jim Peterson. The CD should be out around April 2002.

QUICK NOTES AND RUMORS
-It seems that some of the members of VIS@40 and BALLISTIC seem to be suffering from ADD. What is the end result? Find out in May, possibly.
-There are rumors circulating that SRTV may take over one of THE ROCKHOUSE’s comedy nights. Rockhouse has a standup comedy act on Thursday nights. SRTV may film the show and the Ranger may MC for that evening. This is only a rumor at this point.
-Bands to watch at the moment: INFRARED, DITCHWATER, SPENT.
-The Band Within has been delayed because of schedule conflicts with the Strictline and PANIC 12:52. However production should begin on the show next week and the episode should be ready by late March, early April. A producer must be named for the show as well.
-FIVE POINTE O's self titled debut is coming to stores this month. Go check it out. Some good shit and was produced by COLIN RICHARDSON who has worked with Fear Factory, Machine Head.

That is the news for this month, have a happy St. Patrick's Day.
