NEWS FOR JUNE 2001

OUR HERO
In the lawsuit case, the Stoned Ranger is being represented by David Sanders from the Jenner and Block law firm. Mr. Sanders has represented many people in the media. He has represented ABC, NBC, and even our good friend Mancow. His associate Erin Schrantz will be working the case. We are so excited. Special thanks to the two of them. This is the last bit we can report on the suit until further notice.

SILENCE IS NOT AN OPTION
Plans are underway for Chronicfest IV. The show is slated for early August and plans are still in motion to get this show going. It is planed for a whole afternoon with 11 of the best local talent Chicago has to offer. And new talent as well.

VOICEOVERS ON WSFR
So the neat world of WSFR is expanding with the Stoned Ranger's creation of an artist page on the MP3.com site. This will enable the Ranger to make the most of his creations. Two of his tales will be in audio format with the Ranger doing comentary. You can also look for interviews that he has done on SRTV, bits from SRTV, recordings from the WHCM era and a never before heard UNCENSORED demo from the Ranger and Kevin Lorenc. This is total excitement and will keep you up to date here on stonedranger.com.

THE DEMISE OF THE SKYWAYS
The Skyway Writing Competition is a contest that features many types of literature from the colleges in the Chicagoland area. Who would of ever though that the Ranger's poem "The Year of Demise" would place second in the poetry competition. His other poems "Dreams Left Unsung" and "Alone in the Dark" were considered finalists as well. Congatulations for finally accomplishing something everyone can be proud of.

SA2 UPDATE
Stoners Annonymous 2 is shaping up for an late June or early July date. We will keep you informed. Subscribe to the Strictliner for showdate and time.

CLASH 4 HASH II???
There is rumor circulating of a SIXTEEN BAND battle for what reason we don't know. Call it getting bands exposure. The Clash 4 Hash one has been lost so some of the bands on the first one will be asked to return to be full fledge guests on the show, with other bands just doing two songs a piece. Stay tuned as this may take place in July.

STRICTLINE TELEVISION
The Strictline has three shows running on public access right now. There ofcourse is SRTV, then the Silent Majority, and now REBELVISION. The official show of Rebel Radio. Thanks to Strictline, the show now airs in many more burbs. The Strictline is in 110% support of Rebel and the things they have gone through to support the local scene.

NEWS & RUMORS
-The band INFLICT has broken up. It is a sad day for the local scene. Good luck with whatever guys.
-You can vote for you favorite local band to get into the METRO by participating in Rebel's BANDZ BY DEMANDZ. Just e-mail them here and tell them which local band you want to see play Metro.
-FROM ZERO's debut album ONE NATION UNDER has hit the stores.
-More interviews coming up with hopefully STATIC-X and ICP.
