SUPERBLOW SUNDAY

HELLO ALL MY LITTLE CAMPERS and welcome to Tales for the month of February. As you may or may not know, Superbowl Sunday was last night, as well as SuperBOWL Sunday. One was a real event, while one was not.

Let's talk about the Superbowl. The NFL's game to determine who the champions are of the world. As we all know it was between the Patriots and the Rams. Both teams I do not like, but that is beside the point. The point is that once again our media has manipulated us, and many of us will refuse to accept this belief.

The Patriots were going in as big underdogs as many know. I mean it was only thrown in our face throughout the whole fucking week of Superbowl Sunday. The Rams pretty much annihilated every team that crossed their path, while the Patriots skated by on luck. This is quite evident by the Raiders dumb asses deciding to go on fourth down when they were in field goal range, but also to the controversial call the dumb ass ref made in that game. The Patriots skated by on luck. Much like last night.

As everyone knows the Patriots were dominating the larger portion of the game, but the Rams fought back. The Patriots came back and won in 30 seconds by kicking a field goal. What a crock. Now why is this media manipulation? Allow me to explain.

The Superbowl this year was based on good ol' USA. The red, white, and blue. It was a tribute to the NYC attacks on 9/11. I don't understand why we are doing this now when we had many chances to broadcast it during the Madison Square Garden benefit concert. Furthermore, the memorial in Yankee Stadium would have been good too. But there was one big reason why it was done. What is the biggest television day of the year? Superbowl fucking Sunday. So everyone is watching. And now we can all get emotional and shit because we are putting the victims names down on a huge banner behind U2 playing music and shit. It gives the media another chance to make money of the death of thousands of people. Fucking bullshit. Then the Patriots won the game. Is this just pure irony or is it something else? Maybe.

Let's look at everything in this perspective. The Patriots were called "underdogs" purposely by every major sports network alive. Were they? Sure they were. Yet the emphasis was on "underdog Patriots" and not the game itself. All the media did was talk about how the Patriots were dogs and shit. So the Patriots win. Isn't it funny that this country is known for its "Patriots?” The red, white, and blue and stars and stripes that are on their uniforms. This is "America's team" so to speak. Could this game been fixed to help keep that "united we stand" bullshit going?

You know sports have been accused of being fixed by many people. Think about the implications of this game with the Patriots winning. Not only do we have the whole "country spirit" thing going on, but we also have huge underdogs winning. What does this mean to meaning who run sports gambling and in Vegas? Lots of money to be made. I guess the Patriots could also symbolize America in another way. They just squeaked by. Much like many Americans are doing today with their lives. Because of that jag off Bush fucking with the budget to satisfy his bloody thirst for war. These thoughts may be going a little bit too far, but as I have said in the past, I already have gone too far in my life. Too far to go back.

Meanwhile in Aurora, IL. There was a Superbowl celebration. A celebration of local music. A show featuring the bands Innocence Lost, Inflict, Neotribe, Infrared, and Committed. Now that my friends is a note worthy SuperBOWL Sunday, and that is real. Not like this God bless America bullshit that is on TV. I thought that the show smoked last night, and I want to thank all that attended. It was a good turnout. I guess lots of people don't buy the hype of Superbowl Sunday.

That is all for this month. Be good to to your Valentine this month because Valentine's mean the world to people!!!

Peace,
THE STONED RANGER
