COLLEGE: GET AN EDUCATION AND A BK!!!

First of all before I go into my bitch session, I do want to send some shout outs.

First off, to most of WHCM. I do apologize for my past actions. xxxx and xxxxx you guys tried to help and I appreciate it totally. I think you are all cool and shit. You all are learning who the true enemy is, and if you want my two cents, say the word.

Second off, and more importantly, to the Producer. You will be missed and good luck in Seattle. You are going to be all good.

I am now starting my spring semester at Harper College, and I still do not have all my books. First off, I would like to say my fall semester, those people would not buy back the books that I have spent my hard earned money on so I could get a fucking education. Their reasons, updating editions and custom version written exclusively for Harper. That;s really fucking good you pricks. You have a textbook written for your school. Why don't you realize a textbook is a fucking textbook. You are a junior college and you don't have to be so fucking PC about the books.

Second off, this updating editions shit, I don't buy it. What this is is a fucking conspiracy put together to rip off us fellow students who give our money to higher education institutions to take more and more of our money (as if tuition isn't expensive enough!!!) The process is simple. The professor write a textbook. The textbook gets published. Author/professor gets paid. The book is distributed to many different colleges. The author is exposed. Many teachers recommend this GREAT textbook and require you to buy it. The author gets exposure and paid AGAIN!!! Then when it comes time for book buyback, the author decides to go to second edition and you get screwed. During this time, the author/professor is up for awards at his university, recieving royalties up his ass, and you are stuck with a stupid book about physics that chances are, you will never pick up again. Just assume it would be firewood. Well, last time I was at WalMart, firewood cost $.85 a log, not $50.00.

The other thing that is pissing me off about college is that this is supposed to further young America's lives. What it is doing is putting young American's further and further into debt. What do these kids do when they have no money? Credit cards. Will they pay them? I hope. No credit cards, no books, no class. Sad story of wasted life. I can respect high tuition to keep school running, but there is no reason for the cost of these damm textbooks. The amount of money that is being put up for tuition should help cover the price for the book, and there should be a small fee.

And a message to all you fuckhead teachers who say buy the book and don't use it once the whole fucking semester, DON'T MAKE US BUY THE DAMM BOOK IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO USE IT!!!! At least, use it throughout. It makes more sense. Books are too expensive to not be used, and for people like me who work hard to keep a car and apartment, IT IS A WASTE OF MY FUCKING TIME AND MONEY when you don't use the book.

Sure, there is finacial aid, but I do not qualify until I am 24 years old because my parents make too much money. Sure, too much money, but too many bills as well. Maybe the government should get their heads out of their unbelivable tight asses and realize in order for many of these peole who have the gift of motivation to continue with their education need help. Some kids can only maintain a C average, some kids have problems at home, and so on. The system should do whatever it can to help.

College is a time for education, and maturing. I feel everyone should gain this kind of experience. However, if there are no resources and if the system feels they are doing this the right way and continues to rip off the students who help the institution run, students will continue to go broke throughout school and will have the luck of the prayer to get a good job.

I feel that Harper should follow the standards above. Their tuition for in district students is fair, but their book prices are ridiculous. I even hear rumors that they want to charge for parking. Fuck me man, it is already a warzone. Does this mean I am guaranteed a fucking spot in front of L so I don't have to walk football field lengths to get to class? It better or I will piss on the front door of building A, the mother fucking sac. I am just kidding really. I forget Harper takes life seriously because they are top fucking junior college in the world. (So they believe. Never went to another one so can't say they aren't.) Harper is a good school, but needs help. Just like the rest of the world.
