This was a very memorable year for the Stoned Ranger and the Strictline and SRTV. Many new people have witnessed the virus grow and next year we may grow. That is, if we don’t decide to hang SRTV on the shelf.
I wanted to say thanks to a couple people for certain things for 2002.
First and most importantly, to all the people who watch SRTV regularly and are just starting to watch the world's most fucked up show. You are the fuel that burns the fire. You are the reason I do this and I love you guys. Also, to anyone who has come to Strictline shows this year. THANK YOU.
To Jesse Mendoza, Jay Stephens, and my man Theophilus Jamal for helping to bring SRTV to Lake County, IL. This is some real cool shit and I appreciate all the support from you guys who do a very good job at what you do.
To Bruce and Genevieve from Evil Genius Entertainment. Although we had a rough start, you brought SRTV to Chicago and now its back and I have you guys to thank for that. Thank you for putting up with me and thank you for helping me. Keep on rocking.
To the crew at RMU in Indy. Thanks for helping us out. I will get out there soon Don, I promise.
To Tommy Burke for giving me the chance to sponsor a kick ass show of his at the House of Blues and making a dream become a reality. Special props to Slitheryn, ADD, Taxi War Dance, and fucking Dope. (The band not the smoke.)
To Fear of Sound, Low Chain, Syndicate, Nmbr 6, Cry for Dawn, Inflict, Rebels Without Applause, Committed, Innocence Lost, Neotribe, Infrared, Orion Nine, Milkplow, Crashpoet, Red River, Broken, Psycho Scapegoat, Grindbox, Slitheryn, Smoke, Spent, Angst & Agony, Aedes, Panic 12:52, Crazed,ADD, Colonel Stem, Los Des, Electric Medicine, Gen Patton & his Privates, Mynkis, and Desolate. Thank you for coming out and playing at the Strictline Shows that I have put together. These were bad ass and I won’t forget you guys!!! You help make the scene go around and you’re fans kick ass too. To the fans of those bands who have become Rangerheads, THANK YOU!!!
To Lou Rena from Downers Grove Moose, thank you for working with us for the little time we did. It was a blast.
To all the AT&T help that has been putting up with SRTV for the longest time. You guys are awesome.
To all the people in the record industry that have helped SRTV prosper one way or the other. There are too many of you guys to name names. To all the national bands who have come on the show. You guys have helped me grow and the show grow. Thank you.
This has been quite a journey and I feel blessed to take the journey as far as I have. I have met quite a number of interesting people, done a lot of fucked up things, worked with some great people, and pissed off a lot of people. Gee, life has it’s fine points doesn’t it.
By the way I was asked to notate my favorite 5 CDs of the year. So they are as follows (no particular order)
I guess that about does it. I will soon be joining the WCRX crew very shortly and who knows what will happen there. As far as SRTV goes, I can only say one of two things will happen. Nice knowing you all or you ain’t see nothing yet!!! I will let you choose which one you would rather happen.
Peace,
RANGER
