NEWS FOR AUGUST 2002

CHRONICFEST UPDATE
On July 20th, a fun time was to be had by all. Seven bands upstairs, three downstairs, what a night. The show started just before six, because one band decided not to show up. So Angst & Agony took stage and rocked the crowd. Then Aedes was up next, followed by Panic 12:52. Around this time former Clockbox and Discord alums Jim and Chuck’s project Crazed brought the shit.

Meanwhile downstairs Los Des (a side project of Soulgroove who was the intended band to be there) rocked the house with a two hour jam. Then A.D.D., who was formed of members of Ballistic, Nmbr 6, and Vis@40 jammed on stage and took control. This was their first appearance with the Ranger since the bands formation. Downstairs, Electric Medicine performed a unique blend of music. At this time, Colonel Stem was playing their set, followed up by Crashpoet, who as usual rocked the house.

The all ages set was closed down and many people who still wanted to party would retire to downstairs to listen to Genral Patton and his Privates close out the evening. It was quite an evening. Strictline Entertainment and the bands raised over $1,000 for the Downers Grove Moose Lodge. Thanks to all who came and donated a little extra and ofcourse thanks to all the bands who played as well.

THC 3 IS COMING
Although the plans right now are at a halt, The Halloween Concert 3: Armageddon Awaits is slated for October 25th. This is due to some internal disputes at the venue. So far we can expect to see Milkplow, Fear of Sound, and Cry for Dawn at the event. We will keep everyone informed of this event.

A NEW SRTV
SRTV is once again going through changes. The graphics have changed along with a new beginning featuring the first single off of SKINLAB’s album ReVolting Room “Come and Get It.” You can also see new ads as well as new guests.
