Forest Fires burn
A family loses a child
Everyone must mourn
That family
Is not alone
They're not only grieving
The world itself is blown
What would he have been
If given the choice
A doctor, janitor, even president?
We'll just never know since he hasn't a voice
But his soul is not lost
It will go on
Not only in a mother's heart
But for all who've grown fond
All will pity
This injustice done on high
For maybe it was wrong
To watch it go by
Yet with every new breath
Every word not even said
You know life goes on

His soul is not alone
In good company is kept
