Mr. Snickers

This is a poem about the Colorado shootings, hopefully people will read it and realize how dumb violence is. (Super-thanx to My B/F/F for sending it in! Luv ya hun!)
Silence was heard
After the deafening sound
People got shot
Round after round
People screamed as bodies fell
Their near-perfect lives
were now close to hell
That one day, lives were shattered
People left killed,
injured and battered
Left in the shadows, families weep
The good memories they had
were all they could keep
But never will they hear there loving voices
This all happened
because people's dumb choices
Never will they see their beautiful faces
And to think
This happened because of their friends, personalities, and even their races.
I know you can't change the past
But do remember, cherish life
because of these people, it may go to fast.
Here's a poem that someone named Beth wanted me to put up on my site. This poem is about how she feels about soemone.Click here to tell Beth what you think of her poem!!!
Why?
I really would do anything for you,
Anything you want me to,
Even though you probably don't care,
My love for you will always be there,
I think and dream of you at night,
Pretendin' you're there holdin' me tight,
I look at the picture in my hand,
Why don't you like me? I don't understand,
Every night I lay there and cry,
I think and wonder why oh why,
Why I can't be with you on this lonely night,
If you were here I'd have no frights,
And why I don't just give up on you,
It's because I'm in love, in love with you.
True Love
I do believe that God above
Created me for you to love
He picked you up from all the rest
'Cause he knew I'd love you best
And if you die before I do
You know that I shall wait for you
If you are not there on Judgement Day
That means you went the other way
And to prove my love is true
I will even go to hell to be with you
Where I Belong
Our love is so special, one of a kind.
A sweet guy like you is so hard to find.
Now that I've found you, I'll never let you go.
This love that I've found only knows how to grow.
Although we live apart, our love still stands strong,
'Til I can be with you, in your arms where I belong.
As I Look Up
As I look up in the sky,
I try my hardest not to cry.
Because the only star that seems to shine
Is the one I wished on for you to be mine.
I know this wish will never come true
Because you don’t share the same feelings I do.
I’ll love you forever and that’s no lie
I’ll love you know and until the day I die
My Guy
His hair so soft, his eyes so sweet
Now that we’re together I hope he doesn’t cheat
He gave me a hug, I cried out in tears
I love him so much, I have no fears
The words he says work like a charm
Now that I have him, I’ll never leave his arms.
The Kiss
I climbed the door
I shut the stairs
I said my shoes
I took off my prayers
I brushed my make-up
I took off my teeth
I pulled down my alarm
I set my sheets
I shut off my bed
And climbed into the light
And all because
He kissed me goodnight
Break-up Poems
The following two poems are supposed to be a continuation of each other. So it's not only you if you have a feeling that they are related. (Personally, even if they are sad poems, I think it's cool how they're related.)
I Died For Love
In a place I did dwell
I met a guy I knew so well.
He came and took my heart from me
And now he's willing to set it free.
Now I know the reason why—
It's because the other girl was prettier than I.
I ran home and cried on my bed
And not a single word was said.
My father came home early that night
And looked for me from left to right.
He ran upstairs, the door he broke;
To find me hanging from a rope.
He got a knife and cut me down
And in my jeans this note was found:
Dig a grave and dig it deep
With marble from head to feet
And on my tombstone place a dove
To show the world I died for love.
Class Ring
Close by the door, he paused to stand
Taking his class ring from his hand.
Those who were watching couldn’t speak
As a single tear ran down his cheek.
He recalled the memories of when they had fun,
Laughing beneath the golden sun.
Remembering he had to be free,
But now he had hurt her, it was plain to see.
Her violet eyes had grown so cold;
He no longer had her to hold.
He whispered “I love you” as he went near,
Spoken so softly you could hardly hear.
On her finger he placed his ring
Hoping his forgiveness it might bring.
He said goodbye and gave her a kiss,
A special girl he knew he would miss.
Then the door closed and he hung his head low
As they carried her casket away in the snow.
