Q: Who is Hanson?
A: Hanson it a band consisting of three brothers, Issac, Taylor, and Zachary. They are from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and their first major-label CD is called Middle of Nowhere.
Q:Does Hanson write their own songs?
A: Yes! They either wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on Middle of Nowhere.
Q: Does Hanson live in Los Angeles?
A: No. Their home is still in a West Tulsa suburb right outside the Tulsa city limits. However, the family did rent a house in the Hollywood hills area of Los Angeles for six months while Isaac, Taylor, and Zac were recording Middle of Nowhere.
When was the single, "MMMBOP" relesed?
A: March 24, 1997. It debuted at No. 49 on the Radio and Records chart on March 30. Six weeks later it hit the number one spot on teh Billboard charts and stayed there for three weeks running.
Q: What are their birthdays?
A: Isaac was born on November 17, 1980; Taylor was born on March 14, 1983; Zac was born on October 22, 1985.
Q: Do Isaac, Taylor, & Zac go to pubic school in Tulsa?
A: No, they are home-schooled and have been for years. Their mother, Diana, had been teaching them at home even before they were performing.
Did Hanson use stunt double during the rollerblading sequence in "MMMBOP"?
A: No! It was Hanson. "The skating wipeout was real. Definitley all real," admits Zac.
Q: Why does the car Taylor drives in "MMMBOP" video look so familair?
A: Probably because it's the same car Sandra Bullock drives in Speed 2.
Why is the European version of "MMBOP" different than the Untied States version?
A: Because of the car sequence. "We were towing the car; they'sre ot actually driving it," says director Tamra Davis. "That's why we had so much fun with them jumping over the seat and throwing their hands in the air.... In Europe we had to edit that stuff out. They were like, 'We can't show kids driving recklessly.'"
Q: Does hanson have a special anem for their fans?
A: YES! They nicknamed their fans "The Scream Squad." Actually, they're amazed at all the attention the cause. "We do have groupies," says Ike. "It's weird," added Tay. "We kinda laugh at it, but it's cool to have people resond to you."

A: Zac jsut missed that distinction by an mmbop! He was 11 years and 6 months old when "MMMBOP" went to number one. Michael Jackson was 11 years and 5 months old when "I Want You Back" earned the top spot.
Q: Is there another group that goes by the name of Hanson?
A: The Canadian goup, NoMeansNo, recently did side project album, Sudden Death, under the name The Hanson Brothers. The punk-music trio, who have been together since 1979, took that name in honor of the hockey-playing Hanson brothers from the 1977 Paul Newman movie Slapshot.
Q: Is it true that Ike, Tay, and Zac wear earplugs when they're onstage?
A: You bet! According to Zac, "We'd go deaf from all the fans screaming if we didn't!"
Q: How does Hanson describe the songs on Middle of Nowhere?
A: Isaac says, "There's quite a bit of variety to the songs one makes you wnat to dance, it's really up and makes you feel good. And the other ones are really intense it's like WOW! What's this about? And the other ones are just mellow. We wrote everyone one and every one has a different meaning for us."
