THE TEN RULES OF HAPPINESS

Ever ask yourself, "Why does my life suck so much?" This is one question that haunts every human being at least once in their life. Well I may not have all the answers you seek, but I do have a good place to begin searching. Congratulations! you have just stumbled onto the...
THE TEN RULES OF HAPPINESS

Number one: Never take the past or present too seriosly. It only creates a series of emotional clouds, thus obstructing one's vision to what "IS".

Number two: The events of a man's life are there for the learning, not for self suffocation, nor should they be used to fuel the fires of chaos burning within the mind. Fire only consumes, and creates nothing more than new fires.

Number three: For everything we recieve in life there is a price. A method of keeping balance in the cosmos, if you will. The price we pay is normally up to each individual. Often times the price of happiness is despair, but this not a rule. It is simply born of our own insecurities, and doubts of whether we deserve the happines we have taken to heart. If we have doubts about the validity of said happiness, then we will lose that happiness, and gain despair.

Number four: The only time "death" is the answer is when the quetion is, "What happens when you step on a bug?" Period. No more, no less. Nuff said on that one.

0 Number five: Negative feelings require more energy than positive feelings, threfore it stands to reason that it is easier to feel good than to feel bad. Even when you don't feel like feeling good, it is better to remain in a neutral state of feeling than to give in to the darkness. The more we allow the darkness to enfold us, the harder it is to bring light in to sooth our tattered souls. Give nothing to the darkness, for the darkness will always find other places to feed itself. Let it not be on "YOURSELF".

Number six: Share of yourself with those who have crossed your path. Take what I have given you, and what you have recieved form others, and pass it on. Shine your light for others, so they too can carry the torch to others. The more light we spread in life the less we are subject to the cold blanket of depair that is the darkness. The light is life, and as long as you shine for not just yourself, but for others, the better your life will be. You will find that if you share your light with others they will share with you their light, thus making your life that much brighter, and the brighter your life, the better things are.

Number seven: Happiness is not a possesion. We tend to think of it as something we want and need, and when we find it we tend to hold it close and tight, use it up as quickly as we recieve it. Happiness, much like the light, must be shared. Not with a select few, but with all. Open the gates of your soul and let the happiness within you flood the world around you. If you put a smile on the face of a passerby, they will return one in kind, and perhaps give your smile to another, who will take your smile and pass it on to another, and so on, untill that smile comes back full circle to you. Perhaps at a time when you feel you need it the most, and if you send enough of these smiles out, the more you will recieve in time. And with each return you will find that is has been modified during it's travles so you may enjoy it all the more. That is all it really takes to find true happiness. Our happiness never really leaves us. We just have a tendancy to forget we have a large supply out there.

Number eight: One plus one does not equal romance. It equals two. Romance is too often sought after by those who feel that it is a necessity for happiness. We have already discovered from whence happiness comes. Romance is a totally different head. (head= a way of thinking) A "ROMANTIC" is one who truly sees, and untill we can recognize and understand the workings of the "Rules of Happiness" how can we recognize romance. The clouds of chaos can distort our vision and create the image of things we wish to see. There is no greater alli to the darkness than the false visions we create in haste. So keep a bottle of emotional visine handy at all times.

Number nine: No one truly knows what tomorrow will bring so suffering in the agonies of "What ifs" is not only a wate of time, but a waste of spirit. How often do you worry about whether or not the light switch we flip on and off daily will electrocute us? In most cases.... never! Therefore it makes no sense to worry whether or not tomorrow will find us drowning the swirling sesspool of despair. Today may have sucked the energy out of you, and left you feeling rather sorrowful, but there are countless tomorrows on the way. Tomorrows, which have in tow, much of the happiness you have sent out in your yesterdays. Ready to give back to you all which you have lost.

Number ten: Nothing you lose is ever really gone. Tomorrow keeps for you all that is necessary to survive. Today feeds you with all that you need to live, love and share. And yesterday is the price you have paid for that with you enjoy today, tomorrow, and tomorrow. A romance may fail, but the happiness that you two shared with each other and with others lives on. Feeding the souls of those who are in need. Spreading, growing and lighting the way for countless other souls, before it comes back to you and feeds you once more. Each time you smile, you make a differnce in not just your life, but the entire world. this makes you not only a good person, but necessary to the survival of others. You are not in this alone. We are dependant on each other, and if you do not share, we are all dimished by it. So give of yourself. There are so many out there who are willing to recieve what you have and many more eager to give to you what they have. It is never just about the "ONE", it is about the "WHOLE"
