What is D&D, anyway?

If you have never heard of D&D before, here is a brief explanation of it. D&D is the same thing as Dungeons And Dragons. D&D is a Role Playing Game (RPG),which means you play as another person in a sort of journey, only in D&D it goes on forever. D&D is the first RPG and all those others like Baldur's Gate were modeled after it. in D&D you create a character and then play as them in an ongoing adventure. You can decide exactly what that character does because D*D isn't a computer game or something of the sort. You record everything on paper, and use books for seeing what happens, how much stuff costs, and how much XP your character gets. XP is Experience Points, and when you get enough your character gains levels, which in turn makes them stronger, and other things. you also play with dice to see if you get attacked by monsters, how much damage your longsword does to the goblin attacking you, etc. D&D is a very complicated game, and it is truly impossible to explain. The only way you can really figure out what Dungeons And Dragons really is is by playing, but now that you have read this, I hope that you understand a little more about, it and will decide to play it.
