Dear #40+sanity Channel Family,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for the many hours of laughs and joy I have gotten from all of you this year. All in all it's been a pretty good year. Yes, we've had some ups and downs but on the whole, we could say it's been a good year for us. The reason for that is simple...your loyalty to the channel and the people in it. Our lives are all so hectic and filled with real life hassles and problems. Being able to escape for a bit on IRC among friends is one of my personal daily highlights and essential for mental health. We hope to continue to grow the channel with your help and loyalty. We established the channel philosophy when it was formed, and I think we've stayed the course pretty well. The operative ideas are Safe, clean chat. Well not always so clean, but certainly never vulgar. It's always in fun and never intended to offend. The safety part of the channel has never wavered. This should always be a safe refuge for all who adhere to the channel rules.

We've gained a lot of new members over this year. To you, Welcome and we're glad you joined us. Yes, we've lost a few also. It is my hope that some of those we've lost might find their way back to us. Life is too short to harbor hard feelings.

During this time of year, it's usual to take stock of the year and what is to come. I would like to wish you and your families a joyous and happy Holiday Season and extend my best wishes for a healthy, happy New Year. May 2001 be as fun and wonderful as this year was. I wish you all nothing but happiness in this season of joy.
