Interview with Zac of Spinecast

Ok, to be honest, at first I was skeptical about interviewing Zac, because, well.....ok, I hated the guy at first. You know what? I think he hated me too but oh well. At first I wasn't going to interview him because he was acting really rude to me last night, but the day before, I decided "What the hell. I need a good challenge." Now, He seems like a kickass guy and I am glad that I got the chance to interview him. Why?
Because.....just read the interview.

When was Spinecast formed? What is the current lineup?
-Spinecast was formed in Spring 96' by Zac Kerr and Cameron Pinkerton from a former band called Choke.
-The current line up as it stands now is:
Zac Kerr - Lead Guitar/Vocals,
Cameron Pinkerton - Drums
Lance Write - Guitar, and
Leslie Keeble - Bass

You always refer to yourself in the third person?
No, just in interviews. (ed.-yah, uh huh - Lady Estrella)
Has the lineup changed in any way since the band formed?
-Well like I said previously, it started with me and Cam and we filtered through countless numbers of bass players and vocalist until we just said fuck it and took it upon ourselves to start playing out and record some shit, then we enlisted the killer bass playing of Garth Lovvorn from a band called Fleshtized to help us out with shows and recording our second demo and new full-length CD. We got Lance about 6 months ago, taught him all the shit and he recorded the new disc as well. as for Leslie, when Garth quit to further his time with Fleshtized we started playing with her and she worked out good so she is now a Spinecast member.
What are your favorite bands?
some of my favorite bands are : Suffocation, Monstrosity, Morbid Angel, Meshuggah, Marduk, Fleshtized, Diabolic, Pessimist, Broken Hope, and any guitarists that shred
Morbid Angel fucking kills! Did you see them at MetalFest?
Yeah they do fucking kill! Floridian Death! I didnt feel that the MetalFest was even worth going to this year so I cancelled my plans to go at the last minute. I caught them several times on the Formulas tour though. They are all really cool guys, we hung out with them a couple times and bullshitted.
Oh well, neither did I, fuck I've never been to a concert in my life...Always broke, man.
Haha, i know the fucking feeling!
Hehe, Anyways, What kind of music that if eveyone knew you listened to it, that they would laugh at you?
Oh shit! That is a fucking good one!
Believe it or not I like: Winger, Ratt, Racer X, Loudness, and White Lion. hey the guitarists of the 80's are fucking killer! SHRED!!!!

Fuckin-ay! I love 80s glam!
I grew up on the shit and just never disowned it i guess.
She's only seventeen...haha fucking badass
Yeah, Reb Beach is a really good guitarist.
It's good stripper music (laughs)
Hmm..... i think i would rather see a stripper dance to something like Angel Corpse! haha!
80's glam is easier to dance to
Yup, but not as brutal!
Do you have any current albums out that you would like to talk about?
Hell yeah! we just finished our debut full-length CD entitled "Disease of Worthlessness" it is 11-tracks of fast, technical, brutality! we have them for sale for $10. we also have our demo "Nightmares of Depravity" still available.
How do we get the album?
We have more fucking shirts and stickers coming soon also!
-send the money to: Spinecast
Po Box 471
Harvest, AL 35749

So, Zac, I hear you're a pretty flatulent guy.
Only when i drink Coronas haha.
i like to shit in my pants sometimes too! (ed- Remind me never to ask this question again. eeeeeeewww - Lady Estrella)

Ok now I'm just going to name a few bands and hear you out.
Fleshgrind
Steve (tee hee) and Rich are really cool guys and they are brutal as fuck!
Every time I mention glam music to Steve he's always saying stuff like "GAY!" and "god you are gay" and "what do you have a stream of gayties playing?" or something.
(silence)
In other words, he thinks glam is gay
Well Steve isn't the most heterosexual individual i have ever encountered haha. He is into shred guitarist and so i am sure he listens to 80's shit also, but whether or not he will admit it is a different story. Steve (the shredder) Murray!
Oh yeah???? He listens to glam?!?!?! what are his favorite bands! I wanna throw it in his face next time i talk to him (laughs loudly)
I'm not at liberty to say. HAHAHA
Nah nah nah, you tell me! (laughs)
Steve may spank my hiney if i reveal his darkest secrets. hehe
Ok, ok, you're off the hook on this one. Ok...Death
Hmm... i dig shit like Symbolic, Human, and Individual. but the new disc is fucking terrible.
Vader
Vader is one of my favorites that i forgot to list.
VADER KILLS!!!!
Death Kids
HAHAHAHA i cant speak on them. You have to name real bands haha
Death kids are fucking laughable.
i suppose...
Cannibal Corpse
Another joke? No, old cannibal is still brutal. but the new shit is fucking weak! i dig Butchered, and Tomb still.
Butchered was the first album from Cannibal Corpse that I ever got....Let me ask you this. When you first got Butchered...without reading the lyrics, could you understand what the hell Chris Barnes was saying (laughs)?
Fuck no! when i first heard it i figured he was just making up shit. until i read that there was actual lyrics. haha
(laughs loudly) Well, I bet you could actually get away with growling rythmitically without saying actual words. In death metal that is
Haha well there has been a couple times where we would be playing a new song live and i would forget a line and i would do just that .
Fucking badass....ok, Poison
I never really liked Poison, they were too gay for me.
They had NO redeemable qualities.
Well, I liked them....but then again when I'm not listening to brutal music I'm listening to non stop glam, as our good friend Steve would call it (laughs) Ok, well, that about wraps it up for this interview. Do you have any words to say to anyone who's reading this?
Yeah, to you: thanks for the interview.
and to all the metal warriors: Stay fucking brutal and sick. Be on the lookout for Spinecast infecting you with Worthlessness.
