Interview with Matt of Shadows Fall


I sit down with Matt, the guitarist of Shadows Fall (Well, not exactly. This entire interview was done online). Well, shit! Read the interview!

Lady Estrella: Hi! How are you today?

Matt: Very well, thanks.

LE: Oh, by the way, Abysmal Fall says you guys kill!

M: Thanks , I have their demo

LE: Killer...so you guys have a new vocalist. How are things working out with him?

M: Things are great. By now actually he's not all that new. He came into the band last November.

LE:Ahh....so you've had him for almost a year now.

M:Yeah

LE:So what's the philosophy behind Shadows Fall?

M:Play loud , rock hard! That's really about it *laughs*

LE:Great Philosophy. What is the most humiliating secret you've ever kept?

M:Wouldn't be a secret if I told you would it???

LE:Come on! Spill it! *laughs*

M:Hehe, maybe later.

LE:If you were a character from an old cheesy show, preferably from the black-and-white era, who would you be and why?

M: Hmmmm...... Ricky Ricardo. a brilliant performer!!!! .....or maybe Buckwheat

M: INDEED!!!!

LE:Who would you consider your idol?

M:Walt Disney ...no contest

LE: If you were a teenybopping spaz-girl, who would you do; Justin Timberlake (of NSYNC, don't ask how I know) Or Ricky Martin?

M:I'd probably go lesbian and say Britney Spears!! *laughs*

LE:Oh you're sick *laughs loudly* What other music do you like besides metal?

M:Pretty much everything actually... I am a big fan of classical and new age music, like Yanni and stuff like that. I also really like some of the lighter rock bands like My friend Steve, Better than ezra, and Live. And you can't go wrong with old 70's Aerosmith!!!

LE: AEROSMITH!!!! ROCK ON!!!

M: Hell yeah! That is probably the one thing that all of us agree on.

LE:Worst-case scenario: You were chained to a chair with your eyes held open by the eyelids, forced to watch Hanson videos while Limp Bizkit were stripping for you. What would you do? (ed- Better add Limp Bizkit and Hanson to my "Everybody wants me dead" list- Lady Estrella)

M:I would probably scream out the most vile and filthy things i could think of so that the good lord would strike me dead!

LE:Well, don't worry. It will never happen *laughs* at least I hope not

M:I hope not either!

LE:Alright, that about wraps it up for this interview. Is there anything you'd like to say?

M:No not really... just , thanks!

LE:Is there anything you would like to ask me?

M:Yeah, where do you come up with such twisted questions??

LE:Well, if you watch enough TV and screw wround the Internet as much as I do... *laughs*
