Interview with Bogdan of Hatework

This Arizona band opened for Morbid Angel/Nile way back when. They have a demo out currently, but one of these days they will be up with the big names like Suffocation and all that....(Sorry, I don't have much to say...oh boy, Bogdan's gonna kick my ass...well, enjoy the interview!)

When was Hatework formed? What is the current lineup?
Well, Hatework was formed in the summer of '96 at our guitarist Mike's house.
The current line up is
Mike Fornwalt-lead and rhythm guitars
Jesse Dennis-lead and thythm guitars
Bogdan Duican-drums
Scott Conditt-Guttural vocals
Matt Scipione-bass
Do you guys have any albums out?
Well, right now we have a demo for sale. We are currently in the works of mass producing copies. currently we have the 1st version of the demo (burned copies) for 5$ plus 3$ shipping.

What do you guys do for fun?
hmmm well theres not much to do in this hell hole called arizona, our guitarist mike likes to play on his computer alot, we're all computer freaks, we go to dennys and laugh our asses off
Why?
Well, because there's nothing else to do
Where you in any other bands besides this one?
No, I wasnt; I used to jam with this one guy, but that wasnt a band.
Ok, now I'm just gonna name a few bands and hear your opinion on them.
Morbid Angel
I love Morbid Angel. We are all big fans of Morbid Angel. We got the oppurtunity to open for them. It was a great feeling.
It had to be, opening for the gods of metal!
It was amazing, i heard that Steve [Tucker] and Erik [Rutan] liked us, I wish Trey [If I have to mention his last name you must be a serious dumbass. It's Azagthoth, by the way.] and Pete [Sandoval] would've been there, but I think they were at some bar.
Didn't you get to talk to Pete?
i talked to Pete at an earlier show, the first time they came around.
Oh, ok. Angel Corpse
Angel Corpse is amazing. I've kicked myself in the ass for missing them twice, but I have seen a bootleg and I was impressed, The drummer especially tore shit up!
Did you know that Trey likes Angel Corpse?
No i didnt

Cradle of Filth
I love Cradle of Filth, I know that my guitar player Mike likes them too. Personally i think that they got trendy, I mean skaters listen to them now, what the fuck? I dunno I liked Cradle way before the new one came out so I really dont give a damn, but its a damn shame that they got trendy.
Oh yeah, I heard....."evil core," the skaters call it (ed-*ha*-LadyEstrella)
Yeah, its really stupid; It pissed me off when I heard about it, oh well you can't do anything about it, except maybe kill them *laughs*
Suffocation
Suffocation is my all time favorite, their brutality amazes me, I havent heard an album by them that disappointed me, maybe Breeding The Spawn but thats only the production not the songs, I'm happy to say that I have seen them live and that I've met them, It was a real disappointed that Dave Culross wasn't on the tour. I heard that he stayed home with his girlfriend. Soon after that tour, The Suffocation gods broke up.
They broke up? I never knew about that.

Don't your arms feel like they're going to fall off from playing drums? I mean, How can a person play drums like that so fast for such a long time?
Well it gets tired when you do blast beats, but you rest in a normal beat. Double bass is hard too, but the same with that. If you do blast beats during the whole song im sure my arms would be dead.
If you were any animal, what would you be and why?
Black panther,because they look cool and devour many helpless animals.
Do you listen to anything not metal? Anything no one would really expect you to listen to?
I listen to classical. I think it's amazing.
