This beaver dam is one of the biggest I know of in the area. It is quite isolated, and a trick to cross. This is on the way to what we call the artesian well. One of us is standing on the shore on the far right of this picture, but I can't recall who it was.
This is the artesian well area. The well itself is at the right. The stream runs along the field in the back. That's my dad relaxing in the early spring sun.
We came across this flock of turkey vultures along the road in this area one evening. They were feeding on a dead deer... yummy.
