~ Chapter Four: My House ~

Waking up bright and early this morning, I eat a light breakfast of fish, and coconut milk. After breakfast I have a busy day ahead of me. Today is the day I build my house. Sitting back I close my eyes, because I know with all I have to do it is best to do all these things BIG! So I think of being big, and I relax, feeling myself growing. Feeling the pain, and the skin stretching, I scream. As I open my eyes I stop and realize it didn’t exhaust me like I thought it might.

I stand and walk around looking for the right trees, and knock them down. One by one, I see a tree I need and knock it over. After all the trees I need have been uprooted I begin to peel the bark off them. And notching them to be hooked together. Going to the water edge I get some mud, some red clay and some water, and make a mixture to seal the cracks. As I stack the logs together they fit like a puzzle. After having a wall on all fours about 10 ft high I use the clay mixture and seal the cracks, and let it dry, then fill in the cracks again.

Figuring I need to put the bed in before adding the roof, I set about making a bed, of smaller logs, and using the skin of animals I have eaten as a mattress I fill it was hay, and leafs. Making a pillow I sit the bed inside the house. Putting the roof on I finish it off with more clay mixture for the cracks. As it dries overnight, I sleep outside. To tired to eat I doze off and don’t wake till morning. But I awaken with a mighty appetite. Eating many fruits off the trees I go about finishing the house, so I can shrink back down and not have to worry about growing again for awhile.

Filling all the cracks again with mud, red clay and water mixture. Allowing it to dry, I figure a swim is in store for me. So I walk to the ocean and dive in. Meeting all my sea creature friends, I play and swim with them. Sadness passes me as I realize I am eating some of these friendly creatures. But I have to survive and fruit alone will not work. Knowing there is many fish that live in the ocean I feel better. After my afternoon swim I take a nap knowing I have more work to do later. Waking up from my nap, I just lay and look up at the sky. Wondering how am I going to survive being all alone. And wondering why did this have to happen to me. What did I do to deserve this?

Shaking all these thoughts out of my head. I relax and close my eyes, thinking of being small again. As I feel myself shrink I also feel a sad loneliness enter me as well. Wishing I had others to play with around here. I need company, everyone needs people around them. Wonders how I am going to fill the rest of the day. I have finished my house. Oh I know I can explore the Island. Maybe I can find others.

Decides to explore the Island as a Giantess. Thinking that is best, cause you never know what I might come up across. Packs food and supplies in my bag I made out of leafs. Noticing the Island is pretty big and will take a few days to travel.

As I set out for my trip, looking over the Island, trying to decide which way to start. I head in a northerly direction. Being as quiet as I can be, just encase there is life somewhere on this Island. Because if there is I want to know it and see them before they know I am here.

Keeping my eyes open, watching and listening to every sound I hear. I proceed forward, spotting a few caves. I investigate them and find out they would be a nice hiding place if I had to hide for some reason. They were nice and roomy. I also spotted a nice cooling waterfall, seeing the waterfall, I shrink to my normal size and have a nice shower. As I feel my body shrinking I step into the water. Diving underwater as I do, as I surface I notice I come up right where the waterfall meets the water. As I reach for a leaf from a tree, I use it to rub my body as I shower under the stream of water that flows down my body. As I shower under the waterfall, birds and little creatures of the land circle around me and watch me. The birds chirp a beautiful tune, turning the scene into a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing afternoon.

The feeling of happiness, peace, and contentment fills my body, bringing a smile to my face. Luckily the waterfall is close enough to my home for this scene to take place daily. Playing with the animals and relaxing would be a peaceful time for me. It won’t make up for being alone but it will be enjoyable. And will pass the time daily.

As the sun sets behind the hills I step out of the water, squeezing the excess water out of my hair. Using a piece of weed from the stream I pull my hair back and tie it in a ponytail. Closing my eyes I become big again. Continuing on my way to explore the Island. Traveling in a northerly direction. As the moon rises I settle in for the night, building a fire and cooking some fish I had pack. As the fish cook over the fire, I open a few coconuts with my nails and hands. Drinking the milk inside, using my nail and dig some coconut out for desert later.

As the fish cools, I stroke up the fire, and settle for the night, eating my fish and drinking my milk. I slowly taste the coconut, never eating any fresh like this. “Hmmmm! “ it’s really good. With a full stomach and a cozy fire I doze off without a problem.
