Chapter 9

Just a bright white light.Voices,singing.Light shimmered and he saw a huge silver gate which opened quietly when he got closer.He moved,but didn't do a thing to move,the gate just came closer as did everything else.He stood in the middle of a temple garden,maidens singing at the temple.Bushes filled with flowers,rabbits running accross yard and birds singing in the trees.The sky was..Empty.Just light.

"I know you wonder,I've heard your questions"Dark owl heard behind him and turned around rapidly just to see the vision change in front of him.Now it was a crystallic room,a crystallic hole in the middle was a pillar and on it was a shining lightblue crystal.

"Where am I?" He asked.

"Nowhere,but everywhere.In the centre of nothing and the path to everything.But you mortals may call this place 'Crystal Bridge' from here all dreams begin,this is the centre between unconsciouness and consciouness"

"...right" Dark Owl said shortly."And who are you?Why can't I see you?"

"We're now at the centre of your dreams,you choose the way it goes,but in this dream the path has been chosen for you" The light blue crystal started to shine a bit brighter and a shadowy ghost like figure appeared above it with a long flowing hair and a dress that seemed to be made of silver,her figures were so fragile a single touch would break her.

"I am Moonlight Sha'rayah,the goddess of purity" Dark Owl fell on his knees bowing his head. "Rise Dark Owl,rise and hear your destiny"

"You-you have set my destiny?"Dark Owl asked quietly and looked at the goddess."Yes,but the destiny was not set by me.It's written in the Heart.You're to be a knight.I have now returned to earth to restore Sword of Shambor to bring peace and dreams back on earth.My soldier walks among you and you're to find it and protect it from all cause,for it's the key to tomorrow.The Dawn is coming,it's time to end the endless night."The goddess was smiling at Dark Owl "I can see right through you,like you see on other people.But there's someone whom you can't see,the Heavenly One"

"How will i know what the Heavenly One looks like?"

"I cannot tell,time will shape it like it does on everything.But you will know,you will feel and you will hear..." Her image was fading away "Alas my time is short and I must be on my way..remember the dawn is coming,you will find many doors but the one I pointed at you is the right one...But you still have the right to choose your path..Your path,the mankinds path...Farewell" Moonlight Sha'rayah disappeared,the voice was out just the lightbue cystal was shining....

It had been years since Dark Owl saw that dream and at that time he had thought of it just as a dream.Now again he remembered waking up shaking and sweating like from a nightmare unable to sleep again that night.He looked at the wagon where Carmina was sitting next to Silhouette,her dying friend.he sensed a strange aura in her,the same he had sensed in the goddess of his dream.The goddess he wasn't even sure was real.How real can dreams be?But Carmina was real,what if Moonlight Sha'rayah had sent her image to his dream to guide,to warn...to set his fate?Am I really to be the kight of purity?I Dark Owl,the servant of Blood?

The same questions going inside his head again,the questions he had pushed aside for a long time,now being reawaken...
