Chapter 2

"I want to see my mother"a sharp,little voice said.Her fingers pulled his shirt."I want to see MY mother!"She was at the edge to start crying.Her body was shivering with cold,her little eyes filled with fear.

Kaq turned to her,and kneeled beside her "I am afraid that's not possible Carmina"

"Why?"Carmina stared at him."I want to see mom!!"

Kaq looked at little Carmina and pulled her close "Your mommy is sleeping with the gods now dear"

"Noooooo!"Carmina screamed and pulled him away,running through the wall right at the back of the Temple.Weeping she found her way to the altar where her mother was laying in silence,hands resting on her chest and eyes shut from this world to another.Carmine throwed herslef over he mom,and layed her head on her chest,took her hands into her own.

"Momma,please wake up.Please come home with me"She got up and looked at her mother.Then she looked around the Temple Great Hall.Candle where light up and she could smell the flowers brouhgt in the morning.She heard something moveing.

"Momma?"Eyes wide open she looked around again,not seeing anything.She took a few steps back and found Kaq who took her hand and started to walk away taking Carmina with him.

"Let me go!I want to stay with momma!"Kaq didn't listen but kept going.carmina turned around to have a last look on her mom."Why can't I be with momma Kaq?Where are you taking me?"

Kaq didn't talk he just walked out of the temple,to the yeard where a black vagon was waiting.Afraid of what was to come Camina looked at the wagon and then at Kaq and saw him nod to the man dressed in black robes.She broke herself lose from his grip and ran throught the yard.

Twigs,and nettles hurt her bare legs.But she was afraid,so afraid to look back.She heard them shout after her to come back.But she didn't listen.

Suddenly she felt a horrible pain in her forehead,and started to fall.Falling to a night.Falling into darkness unknown.
