Yevgeny Kafelnikov of Russia has won
the gold medal in the men's singles competition of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The
match, worthy of a final with its length, went down to the wire before the Russian
defeated Tommy Haas of Germany 7-6, 3-6, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. .
