MY SWARTZ FAMILY
My Henry SWARTZ born 1770 married Elizabeth Anna RIBLET. Elizabeth was the daughter of Bartholomew RIBLET; she was born in 1776 near Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Henry & Elizabeth SWARTZ lived in Bedford County, Pennsylvania probably by 1800. According to family story, Henry & Elizabeth had 8 daughters and 4 sons. Henry & Elizbeth SWARTZ and five children moved to Wayne County, Ohio in 1831. Although they had 11 children which grew to adult hood, I can only name the following children: Robert SWARTZ born 1816 and William R. SWARTZ born 1820 in Bloody Run, Bedford County, PA.
Robert married Susanna KITCHEN in 1837 in Wayne County, Ohio and William married Elizabeth BONEWITZ in 1842 in Wayne Co, Ohio. I feel certain William was probably the youngest.

I have found a Frederick SWARTZ who died in 1813 in Hopewell Township in Bedford Co, PA. In his estate, are mentioned the following: his wife,Catherine, & children: Margaret married to Peter FOX; Baltzer; Catharine married to Jacob MOYER; Lawrence; Elizbeth married to Able GRIFFITH; Frederick; and Jacob SWARTZ FAMILIES IN BEDFORD CO PA
John SWARTZ (~1778- )m Christina RINARD and resided in East Providence Twp. They had the following children: Jacob; Elizabeth (~1809- )m Simon RITCHEY; *John (1817-1881) m Isabella HAMILTON; Mary (1818-1865); Henry (1823-1862) m Jane HORTON; Polly (1825- ); Philip (1827-1858); George m Jane HORTON after his brother died. *John hasn't been proven to be John SWARTZ and Christina RINARD'S son.

Michael SCHWARTZ (~1795-1870) m 1st-Sara SHOOK; m 2nd Laurana ANSON; m 3rd Magdaline GLOSSAR. His first wife died in Mt. Bethel, Northampton Co, PA in 1834. Michael moved to Medina Co in 1835 then to Lorain Co, Ohio about 1859. Two children from the first marriage were: Elizabeth (~1822- ) and Paul (1832-1920)in Easton, Northampton, PA--there are other children but names unknown. Paul SWARTZ m Amy WILSON (1838-1925) in 1854. They had 3 children: George W. 1856-1936; Mary Ella 1858-1906; and Luna Grant 1870-1886.
