- The Legacy -
Much has happened in the realm of Britannia... most of it quite sad. Most notably the departure of our beloved Lord British (aka: series creator Richard Garriott), the cancellation of Ultima Online 2, and the death of what was once the most innovative game publisher of all time, Origin.
All hope is not lost though, Lord British will rise again.
I dedicate this site to Richard Garriott, we all anxiously await your next world...

The evil triad of Mondain, Minax & Exodus reign terror upon the lands of Sosaria. The world is forever doomed to darkness unless a hero from beyond the stars can deliver the people into the light...
With the triad destroyed an uneasy peace settles upon the world. Lord British unites the lands and Britannia is born. But the people lack direction, greed and corruption are commonplace. British again calls forth his champion to become a role model, the living embodiment of virtue - an Avatar.
A malevolent being know as the Guardian prepares to invade Britannia. His very touch corrupts all that is pure and good. Only the Avatar and his companions have a chance at stopping him... but at what cost?
In the first age of darkness, the vile wizard Mondain drew his powers from the "Gem of Immortality". Having bound the very essence of Sosaria to the gem his power was absolute. Once the Avatar had slain the tyrant he shattered the gem to prevent further misuse of its powers. What he didn't know was that Sosaria was not free of the gem's powers... Sosaria now exists as a thousand different worlds, each with its own peoples, history & destiny.
