This section is concerned with introducing the students to understand the community, its oral health problems & how to help the community to improve its oral health through participation & organised community efforts.

The assessment of community oral health status using universially accepted planning & measurements, compilation of data on various oral diseases & conditions for determining priorities in oral health care are introduced to the students as the first step similar to history & clinical examination. Training imparted exclusively through self-learning excercises.

Internees work in rotation in Dental Clinic managed by Rotary International at Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India.
