More Games!!
Auctions
Give
money
for different things....
Tell everyone that it pays to be a hostess and our hostess starts
out
with $200.
Everyone gets one for attending.
One for using their own pen. (really cuts down on pens!!)
Give money for suggestions and product ideas and this encourages them to
talk and think about various uses for the merchandise.
Give money to the one who came the farthest
If anyone says anything funny or cute, give them money and tell them
that's
the fun thing about my job..... being in control of the money. (they always
laugh and often someone will start complimenting me and I start handing it
out!!! It's great to get them laughing and having a good time!)
Tell them you are going to talk about the opportunities as a demonstrator and
as a hostess. Then give them $50 just for giving you their full attention
and
for "considering" demonstrating or booking a party.
Then ask questions at the end about our guest programs (bonus buys, half
price opportunity, )
Then questions about our hostess program (how much the avg. hostess gets
free,
she gets a half price items for each booking, etc....)
If the group is some of your regulars that have
parties
every year or if it is a rebooking, then try to change it a little. You may
play some extra games and give auction money as the prize. I also gave money
for sharing a Christmas Tradition or Cherished moment.
The auction can be tailored to different situations and doesn't take alot of
preparation. that's the best thing about it!
More auction Ideas
Always send invitations out yourself. Tell the hostess from the very
start
that you will need her invitation list no later than one week prior to her
party.
So, when the invitations go out have a standard flyer that goes in them - invites them
to
the party, hostess name, add, time, etc. and have it say: When six people
attend, we'll have an auction! Please help by bringing a guest or two!
You'll get special auction bucks for the following:
*for each guest you bring!
*for each $1.00 your purchase!
*wear red!
*call your hostess by Monday (or whatever) to let me know you'll be coming!
*be on time!
*pay for your order the night of the party!
*bring the name of a person who is looking for a part time job!
*book a party and receive $100 in auction money!
There will be more auction bucks given out throughout the evening. I hope
you'll be there!
Then, at the very beginning of the party, I give out "play" money for these
things, plus throw in a few more - if you've started your Christmas
shopping,
if you've cooked a meal that day, if you watched cartoons, if you went to
church, etc., etc., etc., THEN, when it's time for my presentation, I tell
them that they'll need to pay special attention, because when I'm finished,
I'll ask them questions about what I've just told them. Whoever is the
FIRST
and the LOUDEST with the correct answer gets bucks!
This is a great way to make sure they "get" what you're telling them.
Before
shopping time, I tell them that I will give auction money for #1 their
order,
#2 paying for their order and #3 they'll get $100 for booking a party, so be
sure to let me know before the auction starts. Then I'll say, "Let's
try to begin the auction by 0:00 (within 30 minutes or so) that will cut
down on, or at least put pressure on those "dawdlers" who take forever.
Before the auction, I make an announcement that Mary and Kate have booked
parties and give them their $100....this is your last chance to get this
bonus
money...is there anyone else who wants to book their party tonight?
I tell them to count their money and don't tell anyone!!! And they can't
share money, becuase that gets me in a lot of trouble!!! I hold up a gift
(something that I've brought from our line - usually a couple wrapped and a
couple not wrapped) and tell them to start the bidding at five dollars and
go
until someone wins the bid.
