Baby #4's Page

Well, baby #4 is a sort of surprise for us. We had planned for a long time that we would have three kids. But after Josie started turning one, I started thinking about having another baby. I talked about it with Larry. At first he was understanding, yet he definitely didn't want another baby. Then, just when I was agreeing with him that we should stop with three, he started agreeing with me that we should try for one more! We went on talking about trying for a fourth baby for a while, but we never were in agreement about it at the same time. Just as I was deciding that I really did want another baby, Larry again started thinking that three was definitely enough. Then, when I would start agreeing that we should stop with three, Larry started thinking that another baby sounded nice. I doubt we ever would've decided, so God decided for us. Of course, now we are thrilled about it.

We don't know if Baby #4 is a boy or a girl. When we had our ultrasound, the baby was all curled up and the tech couldn't see. We might get another ultrasound sometime, but If we do I have decided that I don't want to find out. Larry wants to find out, so I told him he could. If we do have another ultrasound, we will tell the tech to write out on a piece of paper if it is a boy or a girl, and then show the paper to Larry. Then he will be sworn to secrecy for the remainder of the pregnancy. He says that I will break down and ask him what it is. I don't think I will. I WANT to be surprised, I think it is better that way.

A lot of people think that we want a boy. Well, they are half right. I do want a boy, but I also want a girl. I guess that means that I really don't care. I learned last time that it is okay to get what you don't really want. When I was pregnant with Jolissa, I really wanted a boy. When she was born and I found out it was a girl, I was disappointed for maybe ten seconds. Of course, now I wouldn't trade her for a million boys. So I know now that boy or girl doesn't;t really matter. Larry, also, doesn't really care. He says "A boy would be nice, but so would a girl."

The baby doesn't have a name picked out yet. We do have some names that we are thinking about, but we want to wait until we see the baby before we decide. If you would like to help us out by suggesting a name, click this link.
