His
Biography
George was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and
raised in Augusta. He studied for a few years at Northern Kentucky University.
Since he was an excellent baseball player, he also tried to join the Cincinnati
Reds, but his destiny was not to be a professional baseball player &
he understood what he wanted to do in his life. At 21 years of age, he
helped his cousin Miguel Ferrer to earn a part in a small feature film,
which was never released. Then he lived for a short time with his aunt
Rosemary in California, where he arrived in 1982 and spent the following
year unemployed. He joined the cast of "E/R" in 1984 (starring Elliott
Gould and Mary McDonnell) at midseason. In 1989 he married actress Talia
Balsam, but they divorced 3 years later. From that moment he had various
affairs (among his relations Michelle Pfeiffer's sister), and he swore
that he would have never get married again and he would have never had
children. George also starred in "The Facts of Life", in "Roseanne", "Sunset
Beat", "Baby Talk", "Bodies of Evidence" and "Sisters". Then the
success came his way with Michael Crichton's ER. His character, the charming
Dr.Doug Ross, made a lot of people get addicted to this drama, and his
career began to go in a new direction. He is the protagonist in "From Dusk
Till Dawn" (Quentin Tarantino), "One Fine Day" with Michelle Pfeiffer,
Batman & Robin and "The Peacemaker" with Nicole Kidman. These roles
made him became an "official" HOLLYWOOD STAR.
