Finally, a tobacco lecture that's informative, educational, and fun!

W.C.A.T. will be presenting Professional speakers and tobacco experts who brings their experience and motivation to high schools, colleges, universities auditoriums and groups across North America!

What makes this lecture different is that it involves group participation as part of the presentation. Although the topics are the same, it is adapted to the appropriate age group and audience. This may include high school students from as young as 14 to distinguished industry professionals.

Lectures may range from twenty minutes to three hours and from twenty students to an auditorium of 3000.

The lectures will also screen the new documentary, "Making a Killing", from the Academy Award winning team behind "Deadly Deception".

Topics Include:

The Basics: What's in a cigarette and how addictive substances are added and used. Includes some great material from the events made famous by the movie, "The Insider".

Why smokers put this in their bodies: Why do smokers put rat poison (Coumarin) and Windex (ammonia compounds) among other ingredients inside their bodies? Examines the medical, social, psychological, and other reasons people smoke.

Second hand smoke: Explains how there are over 3,800 cases of lung cancer and other afflictions in non-smokers each year.

How to beat your addiction Included with every lecture, a personalized drug free program for every smoker trying to quit.

How are tobacco companies able to get away with this? If cigarettes were introduced as a new product, they would not pass through any type of regulations! Detailed explanations of how tobacco companies continue to market a product which is Canada's leading cause of death and get kids to smoke. Based on actual tobacco industry documents, now made public, how they do it through their subsidiaries, sponsorships, scholarships, etc. There will be an interactive talk/open forum explaining issues such as lobbying, trade agreements, and other forms of influencing legislation.

How can we stop tobacco companies from further promotion of disease? Students will be able to understand how they can help people quit and also how they can get involved through non-profit organizations. By the end of the lecture, they'll also learn the ABCs of how a government bill becomes a law!
