PreSearch Advertising

The dashboard keeps track of position, views and clicks, but that is about all. For more analytical information, such as how many impressions you can expect for particular keywords, I am afraid I will have to work it out for myself, the freestyling way!

As of September 2022, PreSearch has 1.2 million users, serving 6.6 million searches. Google, on the other hand, processes over 8.5 billion searches per day. I might assume that Google attracts 1800 times more traffic than PreSearch.

PreSearch Analytics

According to some users, CTR has been low: from 0.4% 0.9%. Bboushy ran a campaign from October 2021 to May 2022 using a number of keywords including "analytics", "onchain" and "blockchain explorer". He staked less than 2000PRE in total, including 310PRE on "analytics". That keyword attracted nearly 20,000 views over the next six months, of which 64 (0.33%) converted into clicks.

According to Google Ads, "analytics" attracts between 100,000 and one million searches pe month in the USA. Given that America comprises 1/12th of the world's population, that might confirm my earlier estimation that PreSearch has 1/1800 the user base of Google. However, Americans makes up just shy of 25% of Google users, so there are obviously other factors pushing up the number of PreSearch results. We might surmise that PreSearch users are also more skewed towards "technical" issues than typical Google searchers. That would seem logical, and might explain the poor performance of "feng shui" keyword.

Obviously, PreSearch users have a technological bias, and a love for cryptocurrency. I now believe "analytics" would have a score of 105/35 when it comes to audience suitability. 35 * (35/² = 3 or 300% above a typical Google user.

Another possible source of information might come from the niches of the ads already staked and displaying. It won't tell me exactly how much traffic each niche attracts, but it will give me an idea. These are the principle niches on my site:

1. Art & Architecture: keyword: art gallery: ads staked: 1/1.
2. Dating: dating site: 1/1.

Of course, biases can work in your favor too.

Interestingly, keywords break down into smaller segments: if no ad for "hinduism" is available, "hindu" will be chosen instead. Therefore, you can generate impressions for both keywords. The same goes for "palm reading", "palmistry" and "palm" (the master signifier!)

I should prioritize pages which are more or less fully developed, like Gossy Good Times, or Asakusa Food, and those which have a responsive design. I should also advertise my English learning pages as it might also earn me some jobs teaching!

How Much to Pay for Impressions

As of March 16, 2023, a consumptive feature has been added to push ads back to the top of the search results.

Now, for just 0.066% per day, or approximately 2% monthly, your keyword ad can secure a prime spot at the top of the search results page.

Facebook is the number one keyword on Google, with 144 million monthly searches. As of October 2022, Your Crypto Library has staked 702,000PRE on this keyword. That equates 205 American Google searches for every PRE invested, or 1.32 global PreSearch impressions per 1PRE per month.

One goal is for eternal traffic... traffic to Arweaved pages from beyond the grave! Perhaps I could allocate 33% of my stakes to this end. As my age increases, more and more of my wealth could be transferred to PreSearch, to be spent on future staking! I can't take it with me, but I can use it to finance my legacy.

For pages which are still current, I can link to their Crowded World URL... perhaps 33% of my ads should be reserved for this. Another 33% should be reserved for crypto-related pages.

Ad Set Up

The headline can be up to ~~100~~ 30 characters long. The description, meanwhile, can be a maximum of ~~250~~ 80 characters. Neil Patel recommends that you make every letter count! Therefore, "Eat in Japan!" is too short and should be extended in the next iteration.
