Now, I know you are asking yourself - "what the heck is a C.A.T. title?" Well, Cowboy was awarded the Honorary title of "Coursing Aptitude Tested" by the Sighthound people here in Idaho! He ran the full course as well as, or better than, most of the hounds!
This Texas son exhibited superb structure, musculature and smooth, flowing side gait. He was, equally, clean "coming and going". Cowboy was an extremely sound, athletic dog and had the sweetest of temperaments - completely non-confrontational.
Cowboy finished his Championship with very little showing and garnered 3 Best of Breeds (some over specials) and 2 group placements along the way.
In his short "Specials" career (18 months) he compiled quite a record. The last six months of 2000, he competed in 45 shows; won 40 Best of Breeds under 37 DIFFERENT judges (including Breeder/Judges) with a Group win and multiple placements. He ended the year #4 in the US.
In the year 2001, Cowboy was, again, shown sparingly and climbed to #5 earning an automatic invitation to Westminster. He also won an Award of Merit at the Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Specialty under Breeder/Judge Pat Shilling (Pettipiece)
