Orange Strong was born on June 4, 1804 in Orange Township, Orange County, Vermont. At the age of 18, he entered into the ministry and continued till his death. On December 18, 1823, Orange married Jemima Hall, daughter of John and Chloe Hall, who was born August 11, 1806 in Rockaway, Morris County, New Jersey. Orange and Jemimah were the parents of three sons and three daughters, Caleb, Silas D., Rachel C., Sarah J., John C., and Ida. Orange died in his 34th year on August 24, 1838, presumably in Ohio.
