Horace Homer Harleigh Strong, son of Silas and Hannah Strong, was born June 2, 1878 in Swede Creek Twp., Riley County, Kansas. He married Mamie Ellen Dent who was born September 24, 1882, daughter of Charles Dent and Katherine Miller, on January 30, 1900. Horace and Mamie were the parents of two daughters: Pearl Marie and Ruby Katheryn. Horace was a logger and a carpenter. He died August, 1951 in Lewiston, Nez Perce, Idaho.
