In Memory of My Mother - Tonja Susan Clark

We said good-bye today. Two souls that met by chance in another world to be reunited on earth. There's an ache in my body, a numbness that I cannot explain. It rained today, then snowed, but only for a moment. The angels paying tribute to you as you left us. The soft, but stinging flakes awakened me with the reality that you are no longer here. Summer blossoms against the bitter cold snow, with irony I gaze at the cold ground that is your new home. Warmth and joy, yet cold and emptyness. Will anything ever fill your void in my life? As a child I pushed away from you, as an adult I strived to become to you. Now I stand here in the winter cold and say good-bye to you. Mom, I love and miss you more than words can express.

The world lost an incredible person on December 27, 1998. My mother, Tonja Clark succumbed to complications from Carcinoid Disease. "Thinking of You" Mom.
