Kokiri Forest
When you first start out, Leave your house and talk to Saria. Then head
for the training center. The training center is to your left as you look
out from you house, the south end of the map. Now is a good time to
mention how the map works. You are the yellow arrow. The red arrow marks
the entrance you came from. You can turn off the map by pressing the L
button. Go to the back of the training center and find the hole in the
wall. Crawl through, wait for the boulder to pass and follow it, and
open the chest at the end to get your kokiri sword. Return through the
hole. Walk around the village, talk to the Kokiri's, and walk through
grass, slash bushes, throw rocks and pots, and look around to earn
money.enter all the houses and look for money. You need 40 rupees to buy
a shield. Once you have 40 rupees, go to the shop with the red roof,
with the girl sitting on the roof, and buy a Deku shield. Equip the
shield and sword in your subscreen and then exit the town on the East
side of the map. You'll have to talk to Mido to get through. He won't
let you pass until you have a sword and shield so make sure you equip
them.
