On these pages I want to study the Seals of
Revelation. Would it surprise
you to know that several of the Seals have
been opened? I know that you expected some
sort of fanfare, but God speaks in a still
small voice. The reason that he does this is
simple, if you are listening you can hear the
still small voice, but if you aren't
listening you could not hear him in an
explosion! We are going to take these Seals one at a time and look at their fulfillment in a way that should make the whole thing seem a little clearer. The events listed in the 6th chapter of Revelation are also described by Yeshua himself in the Mount Olivet discourse, in Matthew 24. It should be no surprise that when Yeshua told his disciples of the, end times, that the things he spoke of should fit into the book of Revelation somewhere. Yet the first time that I saw this I smacked my forehead.
The reason we do this, I think, is because of a notion that God is trying to keep the future a secret. If this were so then why would he have given us so much prophetic scripture? No he is not keeping secrets from us, but by the same token he isn't making it simple either. The reason for this is because the Bible is not meant to be understood by everyone. Before you stone me, let me explain, the Bible is only to be understood by those who: 1 have ears to hear, 2 have eyes to see, and 3 have a repentant heart. This is supposed to describe born again disciples of Yeshua. Does this describe you?
