The Federal Modulator Technical Everything

The Federal Modulator is one of Federal's fine electronic sirens. Although I am not a big fan of electronic sirens, the Modulator's superior construction is worth noting and the technicals are worth posting.

The Modulator consists of modules, anywhere from 1 to 6 modules. More than 2 modules, the bottom module is always empty, and is painted with a reflective coating. The color is off-white, and is painted with TGIC-Polyester-Powder Coat. Sporting a Hyperbolic Flare horn type, the drivers have a frequency response of 200 to 2000 Hz., with a horizontal coverage of 360 degrees plus or minus 1 decibal. Diameter of the discs are 44 1/2".

Sounding tones are Wail (Attack), Pulsed Steady or Steady (Alert), Alternating Wail, Pulse Wail and Westminster Chime. Custom tones can also be generated. Highly intelligable voice audio is also a capability of this electronic siren. The Aerodyunamic design was to help with wind concerns.
