I started DJing when I was in the Navy. I bought a pair of Pioneer CDJ-500s and the Pioneer DJM-500 mixer. Since I had only CDs, CD players were the logical choice. A friend and I started spinning and eventually got good enough to throw a show. It was then when I realized that I wanted to DJ for good.

Anyway, its been a few years, and now I have two Technics SL-1200Mk3D Turntables, but I still occasionally use CDs in my mixing as well.

I mainly spin:

  • Drum and Bass/Jungle
  • House (Hard House, Tech House, Ghettotech, and Jazzy House)
  • Downtempo/After Hours
  • I also have some techno and hip hop records that I occasionally throw on.

    EQUIPMENT:
  • 2 Technics SL-1200Mk3D (one black, one silver)
  • Stanton Trackmaster II Cartridges
  • Pioneer DJM-500 Mixer
  • Apple iPod (30GB)
  • 2 Pioneer CDJ-500 II DJ CD Players (they were top of the line when they came out, now they're dinosaurs)
  • Apple iMac G3 (for sampling and MP3s)
  • Korg EA-1 Analog Modeling Synthesizer
  • Korg ER-1 Analog Rhythm Synthesizer
