Nirvana was created by Kurt Cobain, Kirst Novelesk, and Dave Grohl. They exploded onto pop charts following the realease of their first album, Bleach. The band members went from sleeping in their van and eating the cheapest items on resturant menus, to being milionairs. Virtually overnite.
The band became even more popular following the release of their second album Nevermind. this album contained the song that propelled Nirvana from merely rockstars to superstars.
This song was "Smells Like Teen Spirit", a song that would become the anthem of a generation.
Nirvana would later release the albums: "Incesticide", "In Utero", "MTV Unplugged In Newyork", and an late 2002, "Nirvana". An album containing some of Nirvana's greatest hits.
